2. Subscriptions and Purchases
Subscription Tiers
StreetSense offers the following subscription options:
- Patrol Essentials — Annual subscription providing access to statutes, officer notes, search aliases, companion charges, and select reference tools.
- Full Patrol Kit — Annual subscription providing access to all features, including decision trees, case law, quick reference cards, AG directives, and all operational tools.
- Lifetime — Full Patrol Kit — One-time purchase providing permanent Full Patrol Kit access. Available in limited quantity and for a limited time at our discretion.
Free Trial
We may offer a free trial period that provides full access to all features. After the trial period ends, you must subscribe to continue using the App. Apple manages trial eligibility — each Apple ID is eligible for one free trial per subscription group.
Billing and Renewal
- Subscriptions are billed annually through your Apple ID account.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current subscription rate.
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your iOS Settings under Subscriptions.
Tier Upgrades
If you upgrade from Patrol Essentials to Full Patrol Kit during an active billing period, Apple will prorate the cost. You will receive credit for the unused portion of your current subscription and be charged the difference for the higher tier. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds
Subscription payments are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple through their standard refund process. We do not have the ability to process refunds directly.
Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Any price increase will take effect at the next renewal after notice. Apple will notify you of price changes, and your continued subscription constitutes acceptance of the new price.

All content, design, code, and materials in the App are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Public Domain Content
New Jersey statutes and court opinions included in the App are in the public domain. However, our original compilations and organization, summaries and explanations, decision trees and flowcharts, scenarios and examples, officer notes and operational guidance, and the search functionality and user interface are protected by copyright and proprietary to MNS Industries, LLC.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties
We make no warranties regarding accuracy or completeness of information, fitness for any particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted service, current applicability of legal information, or applicability to your specific situation. You are solely responsible for verifying all information before relying on it in any official capacity.
5. Limitation of Liability
This includes but is not limited to: criminal liability (unlawful arrests, charges, or convictions), civil rights violations (Section 1983 claims, false arrest, false imprisonment, excessive force claims), evidence suppressed due to incorrect legal guidance, constitutional violations, professional consequences (discipline, suspension, termination, or loss of certification), prosecution decisions, criminal or civil lawsuits, injuries or harm to any party, departmental liability, all monetary damages (direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive), economic losses, reputational harm, system failures, and any harm resulting from reliance on app content.
Maximum Liability Cap: In no event shall our total aggregate liability to you exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is less.

Charging decisions are the exclusive responsibility of prosecutors. This App provides reference information only. You must consult with your prosecutor before filing charges, never rely solely on this or any app for charging decisions, understand that prosecutorial discretion governs all charging decisions, and follow your department’s chain of command for charging approvals.
You Must Always:
- Verify ALL information against current, official statutes
- Follow your department’s policies, procedures, and directives without exception
- Consult with your prosecutor when any doubt exists
- Use your professional judgment, training, and experience
- Check for statutory updates, amendments, and new case law regularly

7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MNS Industries, LLC, its creators, officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, suppliers, successors, and assigns from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, suits, proceedings, investigations, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from or relating to your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, any enforcement actions you take based on information from the App, any arrests, charges, or prosecutions based on app guidance, any use of force influenced by app content, and any constitutional violations arising from your reliance on app content.
This indemnification obligation survives termination of your use of the App and these Terms.
8. User Conduct
You agree to use the App in compliance with all applicable laws, maintain the confidentiality of any account credentials, report any unauthorized use or security breaches, and treat the content as proprietary. You agree not to use the App for any illegal purpose, interfere with the App’s operation or security, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or share subscription access with others.
9. Content Accuracy and Updates
We strive to provide accurate, current information. However, laws change frequently and we cannot guarantee real-time updates. Content is verified periodically, not continuously. Errors or omissions may exist. Court decisions may change interpretations. Department policies may differ from general guidance. Different subscription tiers provide access to different content — the completeness of available guidance depends on your selected plan.
Always verify critical information against official statute databases, recent court decisions, your department’s current policies, and guidance from your prosecutor’s office.
10. Termination
We may terminate your access to the App immediately, without notice, for violation of these Terms, suspected unauthorized content distribution, illegal or harmful conduct, or at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your license ceases, you must delete the App, and you must destroy any copies of content. Termination does not relieve you of obligations incurred before termination or affect Apple’s processing of your subscription.
11. Privacy and Data Collection
The App currently does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal information or user data. All content operates offline. Subscription status is managed by Apple through StoreKit and is not accessible to us. See our Privacy Policy for complete details.
12. Modification of Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted in the App and on our website. Continued use constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with changes, discontinue use and delete the App.
13. Third-Party Content and Links
The App may reference or link to New Jersey statute databases, court opinions, and official state resources. Links do not constitute endorsement. We are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or privacy practices of third-party content.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes must be brought in state or federal courts located in New Jersey. Before filing any claim, you agree to attempt informal resolution by contacting us. You agree to bring claims only in your individual capacity, not as a class member or representative.
15. Special Provisions for Law Enforcement Use
Department Policy Supersedes: Your department’s policies, procedures, and directives ALWAYS supersede any guidance in this App. In any conflict between app content and your department’s policies, your department’s policies control absolutely.
Do Not Cite This App As Authority: This App is for reference and research only. Never cite the App as authority in any court proceeding. Always cite original statutes, case law, and official sources.
